Thank you for all your good work on this @alosarjos. Cheers. Wow time really has flown by.

I hope this means an official "brave-browser" package could be coming soon, no more AUR required for it. In fact I see in the brave.com install.sh they are checking for it with a pacman command. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone!

I've been keeping updated the best I could this package for... 3 and a half years.... Oo

During this time the maintainers have been contacted the the Brave people a few times and now, they have asked us if we could pass the torch to them so that they can update the AUR package with their automation systems. Which of course I'm happy to do if that means faster updates for people.

I'm sure things will be better from now since the package will land on more capable hands.

Have a nice day! :D

I see some maintainer flux happening. Is there an official announcement somewhere of how this will be maintained moving forward? Is the new "brave" maintainer the brave.com official team?

Getting the following when attempting to upgrade. I wasn't using yay.

@wknapik

If you want to write a message to be pinned for those looking for support (Not related to the packaging itself). Just write it and I will pin it :D

@3a33d updating involves restarting the browser. Have you checked brave://settings/clearBrowserData to see if you have cookie removal enabled on exit?

Whenever I go about updating brave, it seems my cookies reset. Would you happen to have any idea if there's something obvious that might be causing this?

When installing this via yay, the brave-bin-1.71.123-x86_64.zip does not pass sha256sum validation, and thus will not install.
